I am trying to setup an Active Directory configuration with the name dugout.radioframenetworks.com. What do I put in the DNS name after telling the DCPROMO.exe to setup a new forest, tree, and domain.

Anyway, my configuration also includes a remote production site that would be its own domain. leftfield.radioframenetworks.com.

I hope this makes sense, if not please feel free to email me. jhardy@radioframenetworks.com

BTW, I have done this before, but I can't remeber what I did. I am losing it.

Are you publicly hosting your own Internet site? If not, Microsoft recommends that you name your DNS with a name other than .com. For example dugout.radioframenetworks.local or dugout.radioframenetworks.dns.

This Microsoft KB details how to set up a Child Domain.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark

I am not currently hosting my web server on site, but within the next couple months I will be.
