Active Directory Crashed Oracle Service Error

I recently had a major system crash on a Windows 2003 Server(ref:

Basically I had to restore my Active directory from a 6 month old version. and I'm running a custom oracle application and I'm getting the following error when I try to log into the application.
"LoadFromFromFields() on class ThmOptionsItem Failed. Published property KEY could not be found in passed TQuery"

I also get an error starting a service called HL7Receiver.exe, Version 4.8.1.5 faulting module BorlndMM.dll, version 4.0.5.37, fault address 0x000019ce.
This is an Application error event ID #1004

I'm convinced this is an authentication error, I contacted the software company and they will not help, they say they need to do a full app re-install and are quoting my client large numbers.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are a member of Oracle's MetaLink, have you logged a service request with them? There should not be any additional cost for logging the request with them.

Since this appears to be an obscure application error that could have linkages to who-knows-what other ancillary software, I'm afraid that someone will end up parting with some Dead Presidents to get the problem resolved.

I know that the software requires background users to authentic to the Active Directory where can I find this information?

Please run a tnsping command from the application server that is failing to connect, using as a parameter the name of the database the application is trying to connect to. For example, if you database name is "db01"

tnsping db01

Please post the output of the tnsping here.

Uh, you didn't tnsping the database. You appear to have used one of the data file names as a parameter to tnsping, rather than the database name.
