activating office xp problems

I recently reloaded my os (xp), after I installed word, I was asked to register again. When attemting to register via the internet, I recieve an error message saying: "According to our records, this copy of Microsoft Word 2002 has already been activated on another computer." Blah Blah Blah. Of course it has on my computer. Is there any way to reactivate my copy w/o calling M$?
