Hi, there, I have a question for the group.
I have ACT! 9.0 and Outlook 2003 SP2. All I want to do is to be able to use an email template to email contacts, one at a time to start, and later maybe some "blast emails" (just small ones.) What I want to do is pretty simple but I can't quite figure it out. Ideally, I would
1. create an email for a contact from a template. It would be nice if it included the subject line
2. Modify it, you know, add "It was nice to speak with you" or "sorry I missed you."
3. Attach something
4. Send it and have some kind of note in History.

Ideally, I wouldn't have to set up an address book in Outlook, tho I have no strong objection.

Any thoughts?

The whole thing, really. (I forgot to mention that I use Word as my word processor and I'm using the Outlook email client not the ACT email client.)

I tried to set up a template and it didn't work, I don't see any way to have a subject line placed in the email automatically, when I send an email (by clicking on the contact's email address and typing and pasting the subject line and text) it doesn't put an entry in the Last E-mail field.

What I'm trying to do is such an obvious procedure that I'm assuming I just don't know how to set it up. Am I wrong? Is ACT! 9.0 really that lame?
