Can you restore a single contact from a backed up DB? Therefore is a malicious user deleted a contact...?

Hello E1Designs,
Sorry, no you cannot restore a single contact.

Is it just basic Contact info or do you require all the Notes/History, etc.

Regards,
Michael

It is everythign that is needed. I simply did a Quick Print on each section, and then they can manually create the record again.

Hello E1Designs,
There is perhaps another way to do this.
1. Create a seperate backup of your current database. Save it to another location.
2. On a different machine restore the backup of the database that contains the Contact you require.
3. On that machine you could either "Export" the Contact or another way is to email the contact information as an attachment being sure to include Notes/History, Activities and Sales information.
4. Then restore the most current backup onto the machine used in step 2.

Note: If the above steps are not clear, look up "Attaching" in ACT! help and search for "contacts to email messages"

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Michael

Does not seem possible to attach the contact with the Notes and other information, only the personal info.
