Hi All
I was going to say quick question , but then again its not that simple........should be but its not !

I need to setup a fax server. But first i need to set up a contact manager to manage these faxes. Looked at the usual ones, hence being here with you :) . What i need to do is fax out to our client base several times a week . I need to generate these faxes to clients from an address book and i want to keep up to date on what material was faxed to who when. Simple right. HA ! See, the prooblem is the packages i have looked at all have one thing in common. They let you generate a fax shot and send it out but they simply offload this to the fax server and then update history to say client XYZ was faxed with ABC doc's on so and so a date. The contact manager has no idea whether the fax actually went out or not The number may have been busy etc but ACT will tell you inhistory it went out. We need two way comms between the fax server and ACT but how to get this ! and then you have the problem of which of LOTS of fax servers would be able to do this. Anyone got ANY ideas at all ?

Much appreciated

Mark

Hi paul
What do you do in this field ?

Have been to zeta fax but it does this with goldmine only with expensive adds to make it do it.

I dont think goldmine is for me however.

Was wondering if anyone else has been down this road before me that knows all the ins and outs.

86. Hmm things have changed as you know of course but in ways you have to be there to understand. Yep its mostly downhill :-(

Regards
Mark
