I'm a little a head of the playing field but I'm running a beta of Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit) with Outlook 2007 and ACT 2008. When I add my address list in Outlook, I cannot sent emails, they come back with a 503 error. 7 is so similar to Vista, I was wondering if anyone has seen this issue with Vista and if a hot fix is available?

If it matters, I'm running this on a Dell Dimension 9200 w/ 4Ram.

One other note; if I start a new email and click on "To.." it shuts Outlook down.

This is a Outlook error

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

'mburns52@cox.net' on 8/4/2009 9:23 AM
503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA

When I remove the ACT address book it works fine.

Hmmm... that message means that Outlook has an authentication issue talking to your mail server.

I've never heard of ACT! causing that error... and really, it shouldn't be able to unless your SMTP is expecting something from your address book to authenticate it

I'd try adding the address book and contacting your ISP and see if they can get it working for you

It seems to be an issue related to Outlook and my email server/domain host. I did go through and found some invalid or dual email address in ACT and removed them. After resolving my emailing issue I'll make additional post if that doesn't resolve it.

Thanks Mike

PROBLEM RESOLVED-----

The Outlook profile was corrupt, when I would try to access my ACT address book, the screen would white out and then close Outlook. It was also causing issues with sending emails.

I built a new profile and that has solved the prob... thanks though.
