I am currently exploring ACT 6 to see if we want to run with the ACT product line full time as a stand alone and move away from Outlook.

I have found one problem that should be easy, but can't find the solution, so hope you all can help.

I have set up multiple e-mail accounts and receive mail on all accounts just fine. But I cannot get the Internet mailer to send out e-mail.

In Outlook we had a box to check saying outgoing mail requires authentication. I cannot find that here in ACT 6.

Can anyone help?

Okay gang-

The actual error states that mail is unable to be sent because of a network error and the e-mial is being put in a offline mode.

I am being instructed to use ACT!6 for CRM purposes. I do not find it user friendly and almost anything you want to do in Act can be replicated in Outlook.

Microsoft have CRM package - I have not evaluated but it will probably interact with Outlook much more easily.

Just wondering if headsets has found the answer to his problem because I am having the same trouble. I cannot send a mail merge, or email through ACT it gets held up in the outbox.

otbmarket-

I did find out that outgoing mail authentication is only available in the ACT 2005 product. So that answered that and I bought ACT2005

So far I have found out that any time I reply to an e-mail, it will sometimes take 3 days before it sends.

I have 30 days of tech support and will get an answer to why this happens and will pass it on.
