Act 2000 Upgrade to 5.04: Doesn't Install

I've been trying to upgrade to 5.04, but I get an error message that says I don't have Act 2000 installed -- which is clearly not the case. I've combed the web and came across several others who've experienced this problem -- the Sage site doesn't address this in their knowledgebase and I can't find a solution. I tried disabling Norton AV, but that didn't help. This is frustrating; any suggestions are welcome.

You will usually find you need to uninstall Norton AV, not just disable it... and then reinstall ACT! 5.0 and then the patch. Then reinstall NAV.
