OK. Partner ACS R.5. only 3 lines plus fax. Fax ext is set up. This ACS has been installed for about 2 weeks. The previous one was only 4 months old. The problem is when they come back in the morning, line 1 is seized. It isn't every day and it is always line 1.

System has small credit card voice mail.
During day AA is immediate.
Night AA is delayed.
Customer has checked all phones when he comes in to make sure that no one hit the spkr button or left handset offhook.
HELP!!

I had one kinda like that once. Hindsite being 20/20, I should have programmed a status light for each physical port's ext #. It ended up being a faulty vacant port that wasn't even wired out.
Another time ended up being a 2 pair cord plugged into the aux port of the 18D. Replacing it with a single pair cord cured the problem.

Try to swap line 1 with line 2 before you leave at night and see if it stays with the line port or the line it self

Are you sure the ACS is seizing the line? Is it possible an alarm system ahead of the Partner is seizing the line?

Hi Mongo5150,
Look at ext 76. Are there any lines set to ring on this. Check in centralized programming. This is the remote access modem, possibly it's locking up. You could always make sure all lines are removed from it.
