Hello, I would like to see if somebody could give me hand on a couple of things.
I've trying to connect to an ACS R7 system in a different location using the "pc administration" software but so far no luck.
I'm trying to connect using the automated connection, my first question is:
1.- Does my analog line need to be pure analog line (like separate from the switch?)?

2.- Is ACS R8 PC ADMINISTRATION release 8.0.0.4 the right thing to use in ACS R7 systems?

The problem I'm having is that when the my call hits the switch it rings king of funny like it gets stock on a continuous ring and just drops after a few seconds, have any body experienced this before?
Help and advices to this rookie on Partner systems will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bob Ramos

you need a line that has decent qualities (VoIP is no good) but other than that you should be good with that and the 8.0.0.4 to connect. You need to have a password set (blank doesn't work) and you might want to chose a different modem if you have trouble connecting.

I tried different modems (using my dell lattitude E6400 built in modem at the moment.) and different baud settings but nothing I also have different branches to try this on but I haven't been successful.
What's the correct modem baud rate that I need to have it at?
where do I need to have a password set Westi?
I'm using an analog line that it's coming from my Merlin Magix phone switch.
Any ideas?
Thanks

the password setting is in the Partner system under #730
the baud rate will adjust on its own I can't really remember it off he top of my head sorry.
Your Magix line should be OK done that before.

Ok Westi, let me give it a shot.

Thanks

The baud rate should be set to 1200. I can connect to any ACS system anywhere - I have programmed hundreds of them remotely. Just takes practice and the right modem. It is a great tool when you have multiple locations.
