I have a customer that has a ACS R7.0. The system changes the year to 2006 about every two to three weeks. I have had the customer verify that it isn't losing power and it is not. Is there a fix for this?

i think the R7 will pull the date and time from the caller ID. is there any chance that could be it?

Strange problem indeed. I've never come across it before. Just wondering, which software release is the processor running [ponder]

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Do a feature 59 and report back of whats on the display.

Caller ID does not send the Year, just the Month, Day, and Time of the call.

Some of the R7's are having a problem of reverting to 2006 when least expected. It may be power related. At first I thought it was me, being stupid when setting the date, but I've seen enough displaying the wrong day of the week to know better now.

Call your Avaya Business Partner and have them upgrade to at least 91N.

Anyone know what the upgrade patch "N" will give the system other than fix the reverting date to 2006 bug.
Is it just a bug fix?

The latest Partner processors from Avaya are running "O" software. I've read reports elsewhere about possible problems with programming being lost and the year changing all by itself with this release.

The "K" software appears to be stable.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Hmmm.I have the revert to year 2006 bug on my ACS 7.0 and it is the "K" software...Is this just a oddball or ???

Just wondering if I should bump up to the "N" or leave it alone.

I don't want to add other problems to the system by going to the "N"

Is the "O" flashcard available?...and has it be proven?
Any input from anyone who can verify?

I believe that the "O" upgrade will be available in April. I'm not a installer, so I don't know if Avaya has pushed the expected date out.

As I understand things, "N" was the test software that became "O". Based on the reports I've seen, I'd hold off on any upgrades to "O" until the reported problems have been addressed.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

What is the process to update the software version? I looked on Avaya's website for downloads and there was nothing there.
