I have an ACS R6.04 that is having an issue with dropped calls on the T-1. The circuit does not show any slips or framing errors. The clock is setup for local which I found odd. Should this be set to loop? Could that cause calls to drop?

While it may not cure the call dropping issue, speaking as a C.O. tech, it is good practice to use the T1 as your synch source.

Many is the time we, back in the C.O. see constant slip alarms on a circuit, only to find out that the CPE is using an internal clock as a reference and, as a result, there is poor synch between the CPE and the C.O. equipment.

I agree with dex, loop timing would be the norm and might not fix your problem. Check your fault logs and try to isolate problem to particular trunk, line, phone or card.

Your clock should really be set for the T1. This could cause your problem errors or no.
