ACS 7.0 Remote Admin connection problems

Merry and Happy to all online,

I'm logging in to an ACS 7.0 (new) by way of local modem (IBM Laptop) @ 9600. I can connect but I never get a prompt for a password. I did set password in # 730 prog and hit enter when done. Re-booted IBM and sytem and still no prompt.

Any Ideas what I'm missing here on the modem connect?

Now the second issue.......

Is it possible to connect to the ADMIN port thru IBM com port program using a RJ 45 cat 5 cable with a RJ 45 to DB 9?

I have to use my IBM T41 docking station to create a com port that does not exsist on laptop.

Thanks to those who maybe able to help.

What are the pinouts from RJ 45 to DB 9 for correct connection.

Update after another re-boot I'm connected and logged in.

I'm still interested in completing the admin serial connection.
