This is a new client for me. The system is an old ACS V4 with two 206 cards and a Voicemail. It's been up and running for years.

Client called - system had one red light on processor and no lights on other cards. I had her replace the batteries and do a power cycle.
This cleared the error and the system came back up, but after some testing, the programming proved to be corrupted. (phones ringing in all rooms, etc.)

Next day, I went on-site and restored the backup (from 2009) and the system was "back to normal".

4 hours later, they called with the system back to one red light on the processor, I had her do a power cycle and the system came back up good, but I'm concerned that the system is going bad? [thumbsdown]

Any comments or suggestions? [bigears]

TIA!

Outside of isolating a possible bad module, my thought would be to upgrade the processor to an R8 and the 206s to 308ECs. Is the voicemail a current model (Avaya Partner Messaging or a Partner Voice Messaging) or is it something older (Partner Mail or Partner Mail VS)? If older, possible upgrade?

If it is the older 5-slot that does not clip the modules in it is possible the processor is slipping out a little and not completely seated properly in the 5-slot. Did you power the system down and make sure all the modules were seated properly when you were on-site?
