Is this for some IVR functionality? As, for ACD you would Acquire the CDN, not the ACDN, it (acdn)would remain default. Is it for ACD? or do you have another function in mind?
I am setting up a new app in Symposium but am using the ACD as a backup. I have a similar setup with another backup ACD and noticed it is acquired, so I am looking to make them the same. I think it has to be done in the PBX but am not sure of the load or command.
thanks
I don't believe you can acquire via PBX, about as close as you will get to that is control yes on a CDN. Can you find that ACD in your Symposium config? Under IVR ACD dns?
If you're using the ACD DN as a backup, then this should be configured as the "IN CALLS" key on the phone set, and also set as the default ACD DN in the acquired CDN config. This way, if Symposium fails the calls are routed to the ACD DN.
go to the symposium, under sets, after you add the sets, right click and pick acquire.. you can deacquire from the switch but you acquire from the symp server..
thanks guys,
captaingadget, I have the ACDN on the in calls key, but I can't add it as a CDN in Symp because its an ACD not a CDN - the acquire fails. I built this ACD the same as another that is acquired but can't figure out what is missing to acquire it...thanks again.
That ACDN is not going to acquire in CDNs. If you have an ACDN aquired, it is under IVR or on CP.
Default mode is going to work as long as that acdn is on key zero of the set. The CDN that has that ACDN as its Default DN NEEDs acquired under CDNs in Symposium.
You can't acquire an ACD DN, if you want it to be the "fallback" for the acquired CDN you need to do this in LD23 for the appropriate CDN. It becomes the DFDN for the CDN.
