ACM 6.0 in grace period after 1st install

Just installed a 6.0 in my lab, upgraded from 5.2.1, the question are: because plds actually does not release me both licenses and auth. files for issues on my sso account, have I the chance to work with the OLD (5.2.1) auth files ?
What can I do until I will get the files, am I fre to access to all CM CLI commands and feat ?

you need access to PLDS to build the license, it gets installed in "WebLM" (you license to the MAC address from WebLM). for the authentication file, you use RFA's "Authentication File System" (1st option when you sign into RFA), it gets installed on the Web browser of the System Platform Console0 maint. web page. Features are setup on the CM maint web page as well (anything youhave paid for can be turned on or off)

thank you mitch, that's clear, but I wonder if I am allowed to setup most of basic (users, trunks, etc) before I load the licence.

No. Without the license or password file (password file is now from AFS), you won't even be able to get into "SAT" administration, you will be kicked out if you try.

You need the license to be able to do any programming. If you have AVAYA's ProVision, you can program it "virtually" offline, and then push the translations to it, once it is licensed, but that's the only way I know to be able to work on an unlicensed switch.

If you load the migration patches on the CM5.2.1 you should be able to do a backup and restore from the old system to the new. This is the only migration supported. If you migrate the xln data everything from the old system will be in the new.

Hi Guys,

Im having a similar issue.

have downloaded license and auth file installed thru system platform, but I still cant access SAT.
Its coming up with access denied.

If I go to CM licensing section, its telling

'
CommunicaMgr License Mode Not available due to recent system restart.
19 minutes left before License Audit runs.
statuslicense: 6: Unable to retrieve Serial Number"

and after the 19mins I will get a license error.

How do you tell CM to use Weblm license. I dont think its connecting to the license server.
