Acer Aspire L5100 wont boot 1

I have an Acer Apire L5100, when it boot to the HD it get to "Updating DMI Data Pool......Update Successful" the to freezes.I thought it was the HD so i replaced it and reinstalled windows and at the end of the windows 7 install is states that HD cant be found i hit continue, the welcome screen shows, then it goes to "shutting down" and then to the "Updating DMI Data Pool......Update Successful" and freezes.

is usually the last message that the BIOS SETUP sends out to the screen, before it gives over control to the operating system...

here are two methods that you may wish to try...

if the above do not function, then replace the HDD with another working one, and then attempt the above again in clearing the CMOS, then loading the default settings (F5) and then attempt to install the OS...
