I've create and acd or acdn, whatever you call it, in ld 23 so that a remote user only has voicemail. I've done this plenty of time and it works fine, usually goes right to vmail, gets the users greeting, etc. For some reason, the user i just moved over from a normal extension to this acdn type, meridian mail keeps saying the user is "on the phone" when someone leaves him a message... any ideas?

I don't see that option? I have them set up as a normal local user just like everyone else in meridian mail...

I have deleted both the acdn and the mailbox and recreated from scratch.

What jhenley is referring to, is a prompt in Call Pilot.

Not knowing what your software version is on the mail, have you had the user record their greetings?

Also, I would make up a 2nd acdn/mailbox, exactly like the one you are having problems with. Then see if the same thing happens. Gradually go through and make changes in the mailbox (greetings..etc etc). Since the mail is where you are getting the [red]busy[/red] message..I'd start there.

I think the "notify caller of busy line" is located in the class of service. It's a good idea to have a unique class of service for guest voice mailboxes (no telephone set). That way features like message light indication, notify...busy line, and such can be turned off.

When you send a call into voice mail via ACD, mail thinks that all agents in the queue are busy because it NCFW'd to it. If you build a phantom TN the caller won't hear that the person is busy.

so does the phanton just point to the dn of my voicemail system?
