acd telephone

I have an acd telephone that the customer has a private dn on key 3 and rollover on key 4. Is there a way to set it up so when the customer is not logged in when they pick up the handset they will get dial tone off of key 3 and when key 3 is ringing, set it up so that when they pick up the handset it will answer key 3. I tried putting IRA and OLA in COS but that didn't work. Any ideas or will this even work?

You need IRA OLA NIA and LPK 3.

I tried adding the NIA and the LPK 3 and I was able to pick up the handset and get dialtone on key 3 and also answer the ringing line by picking up the handset but now it won't let me log in to the acd.

Sorry; IRA OLA NIA is just what I type in by habit; but yes, only OLA and LPK 3 are required for what you asked specifically... Should not affect your ACD. However - you should not do an EASY CHANGE; it's best to out the set and rebuild. If it's CCMS, deacquire it first too.
