I'm trying to nul key 21 and 22 which in built as a SCR key for an extension. Do I have to out the whole tn just to nul those two keys. Or can I just do an easy change? This is an ACD set.

Thanks in advance.

You can just do a easy change from what I think you are trying to do as listed above. Hope this helps?

REQ: CHG
TYPE: 39xx
TN xx xx xx xx
ECHG YES
ITEM KEY 21 NUL
KEY 22 NUL

..after removing DN from any hunt group it may be in and BFS from any monitoring set.:)

making any change on an acd set will, with time start causing ini's and corruption. very clear nortel policy, never do a chg or and echg on a acd set.. yes you can get by with it at times, i have seen that alone require a reload and a cold start.. normally a pretty easy procedure, but with the boss knocking on the door and you expalining why the switch was working when you started and is broken, things take a little longer

I have found that as long as you deaquire the set from Symposium before doing the ECHG or CHG then you shold be ok.
Also make sure to remove any BFS keys on sets monitoring this TN and remove the DN from any hunt groups.

Someone told me I can nul key 0 to make it a non acd set, then make my changes.

Has anyone done that before?

You would still be performing an ECHG on an ACD set to null the key in the first place though so that would be adding an unneccessary step to the process.
