I have a Interalia device that has the on hold message for an ACD group. How many people can simultaneously listen to the message at once? I have a MIRAN card but I'm not sure what the advantages of that are over a Interalia device, can someone give me some advantages of this also?

YOUR SAYING ON-HOLD, ON-HOLD IS NORMALLY MUSIC AND THIS IS DEPENDS ON HOW MANY FREE CONFERENCE PORTS ARE FREE. IF YOU WERE TALKING REC ANNOUCEMENT, THAT DEPENDS ON HOW MANY RAN TRUNKS YOU HAVE GOING TO THE INTERALIA, YOU WOULD HAVE TO LIST THE MEMBERS FOR THAT RAN ROUTE. YOU GET 1 CALL PER RAN TRUNK. AS FAR AS THE MIRAN IT BASICALLY ACTS LIKE THE INTERALIA

There is one TN going to the Interalia, I guess I will have to look up RAN trunks. I know the MIRAN says it can handle up to 30 callers at one time. And yes I was referring to the recorded announcement. So if I only have 3 ran trunks then it can only give three people the recording?

Perry - What about RAN Broadcast? It is my understanding that, if available, one TN can be 'broadcasted' to multiple callers. The licenses usually come in multiples of four. So, four or eight or twelve or whatever, could be listening to the RANs.

Your thoughts...

I heard RAN Broadcast has to be turned up for the MIRAN to work the proper way.
