I have an ACD 6199 that is set to NCFW to 5199 that is a fax machine. The problem I have is that if the fax is busy, additional callers queue and get ringback. This causes some fax machines to timeout. Is there a way to force the ACD to send CO calls to the NCFW extension and not allow queuing? My DNIS is 6199, so I am only using the ACD to route calls.

Thanks!

So why don't you send the calls directly to 5199??

Using a dummy ACD gives me a way to route the calls to a different fax machine quickly by changing the NCFW extension. We receive hundreds of faxes a day on this line, so if the fax is down I need to route it quickly to another one.

Or try a hunt group with several faxmachines in it.

Hmmm!!!!

CDN will stack calls same as an ACD

Phantom will send calls to the ATTN, depending on Intercept treatment in LD15, if the fax line is busy.

Hunt group would work, but I have seen them corrupt if you change entxns in the GHT list if you make changes will there are calls being processed.

Your call, life aint easy

Hope it's Ok to do this...

Dumb question coming.....

Can Dn 5199 be set up as a huntgrp/pilot but without any other members? Would subsequent calls get busytone?

This is for my future use (or not if u can't)

Many thanks
Jimbo

yes all members in a hunt are busy, you get busy.. if you hunt calls to the acd then overflow that to a cdn, and make sure asup=no.. it will give back ring back tone forever unless the auto answer fax answers.. test it from an outside line.. if it can't send back answer supervision, the co will not term the call
