ACD Printer Not Printing

I hope someone can help. My ACD paper printer stopped working. I've search through this forum and read the many post regarding ACD printing but I still can not get this working.

How do I know which tty the ACD is directing output to? I connected a loptop using Hyperterm to my TTY's and rec'd output of ACD 7713 on one of the ports but I do not know which port it is. PRT 5 desc is ACDPRINTER but TTY 4 also lists ACD.

If there is more info needed I can post that as well, just let me know.

There are a variety of tests that would isolate the problem - just completing one of them will get you farther than you are now:

Can you attach the printer to a PC, for example, to see if the printer works? Results?

Can you try a different printer? Results?

Can you connect a laptop with a terminal emulation program to TTY 5 and wait until the time the reports are scheduled to print to see if the screen populates? Results?

I will verify the printer connected directly to a PC

I don't have another printer to test

I would like to connect a laptop directly to my PBX but I don't have the comm settings from the PBX and I can't get it from the printer because user guide has gone missing.

You could OUT the ADAN PRT 5 and rebuild it as a NEW TTY 5 with USER SCH. then you can connect a PC/terminal to it and fool around with the comm port settings until you stumble across the ones that work. It is a lot easier to diagnose problems with a ADAN port that is defined as a regular TTY - then once diagnosed, change it (the ADAN) back to the settings that work for ACD printing.

you might try looking on line in the printer manufacturers web site and see if the manual can be down loaded. Both OKI and Panasonic have theirs on line and you can do a print of the printers configuration on either of them
