Can anyone tell me how to add a MWI to an ACD on a 3904.

I have a Message Call Center and ACD that I need Message Waiting Lights to show for the users.

No can do

Are you saying that it can not be done?

You got it, you can give them an extension and put MWA in the CLS. your Message Center can then turn that one on

LOL, let's revisit...

Do you mean you have ACD phones, the users of which have mailboxes, and you want to give them message indicators...

or

Do you have a group of Agents that you want to be able to light phones of people they take messages for.

or

Do you have a mailbox that takes messages for the Queue, and you want an indicator for that mailbox to appear on some phones.

Each can be done...which do you want?

We currently have and ACD with Voice Mail Box as a Call Center Mail Box. Each user also has their own VMB. Voice Mail goes through our Octel system. We wanted to have one MWI for both mailboes on the users phone.

We have tried using the Agent number, the ACD with, using RMWK and XMWK....

If you know the patter please help.

Correct when we tried that and then go to LD 80 for a trace the line stays idle and does not go active.

So we tried RMWK and the same thing happened. Nortel seems to take it with out any SCH codes but it still does not seem to light up.

Any suggedtions?

thank you

In the Octel, do you have the Message Waiting active for this mailbox?

Is it possible there is more than once Octel Voice Mail ACD Queue. For the first field of the XMWK key, you want the one that displays on your phone after Octel answers.... you know how it displays the Queue-Position in the display after it answers.

On Key 0 we have our ACD 3590 and the Angent ID 3237

We try to set up Key 5 XMWK 3232 (Voice Mail) 3590 ACD

We end up with SCH1208

telling us we can not XMWK on Key 0

Oh oh, I see... you need an appearance of the DN on the phone, and it can't be the ACD, forgot.

Not sure what version of Octel you have, but you need the "extension" (we will call it [new dn]) to be something other than the ACD, and have the "Alias" be the ACD number

Now, add that [new dn] to the phone, maybe AOM 2, KEY 16

No add the XMWK 3232 + [new dn]

From what everyone is telling me. I can only do this on a PDN so I
set up another DN as a SCN on the phone, created another MB and then just NCF the ACD to the new DN and the light works....It seems the ACD must be a PDN for the light to come on.

No the ACD is always the on the Primary Key, that's the way it works
