I have a situation where we have two VM systems and would like them to be redundant in call answering. We have assigned the analog ports for VM in an ACD hunt group and have RONA activated so it will go to next group if the first server is down.

The problem is that when the first server comes back up, it will not take any calls because all the analog ports have logged out.

What can be done to log them back in, or can this auto-logout feature be disabled?

Is the AAS field on you hunt group form turned to yes? AAS stands for Auto Available Split/Skill. This is used for an ACD group of ports (or anything that isn't staffed by a human) and as long as the port is active, it will automatically be available to accept calls.

Yes, I have AAS activated but when using it with RONA, it will log out if the port is rung and doesn't answer, which is the way it's supposed to work.

However, I've learned that if you busyout and release the ports, they will be logged back in. Either that or remove them from the hunt group and re-add them.
