Accpac is supported on Linux. If one gets a Linux version how is financial reporter supported on a terminal server type of install. Can one use the excel installed on their pc for this purpose ?

Terminal Server? Isn't that a Windows convention?

Accpac is supported under pure Linux via Wine, so if Excel runs under Wine, it should work.

If they have Excel on their PC, then Accpac has to be installed on that PC to use it.

As tuba said, Accpac runs under Wine, there are problems reported with running FR on Linux, it kinda does not work. Users have reported better success with Financial Link or something like that, I cannot remember exactly what. Linux is not worth the effort IMHO.
If you are running Terminal Server then the question is not relevant, since TS is Windows. In a TS environment Accpac runs on the TS box and therefore it is running under Windows, and FR works just fine. Excel needs to be installed on the TS box.

I had read somewhere on the sales pitch of Accpac that it supports Linux but a wine based install cannot really be called a linux product.

Many thanks for your help and guidance on this.
