Accpac ERP500 5.3B with Vista?

Has anyone installed Accpac ERP500 5.3B -PVSW in Vista?

I have Accpac 5.3B + Pervasive v9.5 (I could go to v9.6 if needed) I am worried about performance and compatibility.

I am only running SM, MC, LP & GL

You're better off not going with Vista.
You need Accpac 5.4 and Pervasive 9.6 to be Vista compatible.

Yes I understand that according to Accpac I need Accpac 5.4 and PVSW 9.6 , but I was wondering if anyone has found a way around vista and 5.3B

So if I am not going to upgrade to 5.4 I would have to downgrade from Vista to XP as the only other solution, right?

Downgrading to XP is an excellent idea even without Accpac.

Some people have Accpac 5.3B running on Vista, others cannot get it to work.
You can try:
1. Disable UAL
2. Do not install to C:\Program Files\yada yada, rather install to C:\Accpac.
3. You must install as Administrator
4. Run REGACC as Administrator
