What is the best way to backup Accpac 5.5A? Im using Accpac 5.5A and MSQL 2005. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Nothing fancy, use regular SQL backups, and whatever backup solution you prefer, like Symantec Backup Exce.

Thank you for replying.. Im thinking about using Acronis, what software do you recommend?

A SQL backup is preferred over DBUMP? My intent is to script nightly backups to push offsite for recovery.

Using Dbdump as a backup method is an Accpac urban legend that won't die. Dbdump takes 10 times as long as a SQL backup, you do the math.

Okey dokey. I've been using DB* to move snapshots between dev an prod and figured it was a reasonable choice -> SQL dumps are easy enough.
thanks

Indeed, Dbdump is useful for moving data between servers, databases, and installations, but it's not the preferred method for production to production copies.
