Good morning.

I've read that ACCPAC's database dump/load is not intended as a backup/restore utility, but more of a data migration tool.

We currently have nightly SQL database backups in place for our ACCPAC companies. However, in the event that we need to use these SQL backups to restore our ACCPAC, what is the correct way to do it? I was informed that a SQL restore alone will break the data integrity.....

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Not true, whoever told you that has no clue.
Do a full SQL backup of the database every night and keep as many backups as possible, in other words do not overwrite the same backup every night. This backup can be restored and will give you a perfectly working database.

Please correct if I'm wrong, you're saying we can use the SQL backups and restore them (e.g. through the SQL Server Management Studio)?

We also use Norming's Asset Management module that integrates with ACCPAC. Will this affect how we should go about restoring SQL database backups?

Thanks again!
