Friends,
i have tried to use 4.2 as remote desktop. but when connecting under remote desktop error message showing error 49153. Please anyone advise me how can I proceed with this
What do you mean by "use as remote desktop"?
Error 49153 means you have a database error. What database are you using? (Pervasive, MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
Dear Ettienne, pls help me this. i am in a serous trouble in the company. because of virus attack we have re install accpac and try to work as workstations. but when we working, its coming common error 49153 and finder errors. in that case we tried to use accpac as a remote desktop method but that also not success. we are using pervasive
we install the TS Plus software in the windows 2003 server and that machine we install the accpac 4.2 and we login through the windows remote desktop method. but all the other functions are working but when test through remote access it was failed.
This was a one method one of the company practicing but they use the 5.6
My friend if we can work normally workstations method that also OK, but those server is sucking and that main error 49153 regularly coming
49153 means you do not have the Pervasive client installed on the workstation.
This is basic setup stuff.
What does your Accpac support consultant say?
no they have installed PVSW in each workstations and created ODBC also but still errors are coming. pls note that we are not using a server machine. its a Core i5 4GB normal machine using windows server 2003.
You should have a Pervasive server engine running on your Windows 2003 server, and each workstation needs the Pervasive client installed.
Note that for Accpac 4.2 you DO NOT setup ODBC DSNs, Accpac will connect without a DSN.
yes we have installed server engine in the server machine and client setup file also took from the that server machine. one time we remove the ODBC from the workstations but it does not work.
do we need to remove ODBC DSNs from the server machine also?
