I want to create a database to track my sales and accounts recievables. When I create an invoice, some customers pay me at the time of sale. In this case I mark my invoice as paid. Other customers buy from me and pay me at later time. How do I create my database to track accounts recievables? What other tables and relationships do I need in addition to my Customer, Product, Invoice(sales), tables?

Thank you.

Payment - how much paid and when and against which invoice(s)
Terms?

As a former accountant, I would suggest that you spend the $100 - $250 and get an accounting package (Peachtree or Quickbooks). These packages have standard business general ledger templates for most industries and set up is extremely simple. Not only will you get accounts recievable, but payable (what you owe) and financial statements. These programs are both easy to use for non-accountants and will allow greater tracking of your business.
