HI. I want a user to receive emails as this will be for reviewing alerts but not send any. I also dont want the user to see the global address book. Do you know how I can archieve this? We're using Exchange 2000 in an AD environment.

Thanks

To keep it simple, I would create a public folder where those alert get in. A public folder with read and delete rights only.

You might try this and tell us which one has worked:

1. Give 'read only' permission in Mailbox rights
2. Under delivery options, give 0 for 'reciepients limits'
3. Under Delivery restrictions, give 0 in 'sending message size'

The above three options are to not send out emails but read/receive.

Thanks for your help, I havent tried your last solution but apparently I'm not needed to set this up no more.

Cheers

You said you tried first 2. You didn't mention your results.
