I am running a Windows 2000 Network, I setup a Domain Security attrib to lock out any user that enters their password incorrectly 3 times, this was causing problems as users were getting locked out for no reason.
I tried to take out the rule so I set it to 'not defined' however I am still getting users being locked out.

Any Ideas

The trick with policies is that you cannot simply turn them off. You have to change the policy to what you want it to do. I believe for the incorrect login attempts you would need to change it to 0 to disable it again. On the other hand, Microsoft reccommends you set the lockout setting to 10 as some applications will try to use your login credentials at least 3 times in order to access resources.

Thanks for that I have set the lockout to 10.

Thanks Again
