accidemtal deletion of user ID Recovery?

All:
The issue is this

An End user logged onto the server and deleted hid user ID. Then for some reason decided to recreate the ID Of course his ID is not the same as the old ID and changed his profile on the local desktop and caused soem issues with exchange server 2003

I would like to know if it's possible to restore the ID from tape. We do run backup every night.
