Hi
In my current project , we need to access NCR Teradata data from Sql Server 2000.
I want to know what are the things we need to do this(user name , password, etc)? Because this is going to be in Production , we want a foolproff method.

Thanks in advance

Er, just like any other ODBC database, install the driver, create a connection, supply a userid, a password and er, that's it!

Fool-proof is difficult because Fools are innately ingenious.

Use SQL Server's Linked Server service. It is as rock solid as the database odbc or ole provider is. If the Linked Server becomes hosed, which doesn't happen very often, rebuilding it with the same names will have no code impact. Of course you can also do DTS extracts, but Linked Server enables seamless integration.
