When trying to connect to a folder share over the vpn, I get a username password box, when I type in my user credentials, it won't authenticate me. If I type in the administrator user name and password it authenticates and connects. I think it has something to do with the fact that I am logging in to my laptop with cached settings...is there a work around? I tried mapping the drive and then clicking the connect using a different user name link, but it still fails...
any ideas?

Why are you mapping a drive? Are you using a PST file to pull data from Exchange?

we have a xp pro workstation acting as a file server in our domain, it has a static ip. I map a drive so that i have access to it.

I suppose I'm using a .pst file to pull data from exchange, when setting up the profile I selected Microsoft Exchange Server using the wizard. outlook seems to be working now that I set up WINS on my wireless connection.

Thanks for your help.
