Can one find the 25 character CD key on the Office registry (due to a lost CD case)?

If so how?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the Registry, but if you call Microsoft and you can prove that you are a registered owner they will send out replacement CD's. In some cases they will charge shipping (usually about $7.95), but sometimes they will ship for free. I personally lost a registered copy of FrontPage 98 and when I called Microsoft they found my name in their dbase and sent me a replacement CD. I believe it was shipped prepaid, but I was fully prepared to pay any required shipping.

Though I don't always do it, it does pay to register software.

Hi teerob,

If you look at Help > About in one of the Office Applications it should display it.

Enjoy,
Tony
