Ok i have checked my version on my 506. Everything is ok.
I have installed java jdk-1_5_0_01-windows-i586-p
and I can't access my PIX from the IE.

I receive a login window and it requires username and password.

I simply type mypix in the user and my telnet password.

And for some reason it doesnt accept it.
I'm doing something wrong.

Please help.
i'm such a newb.

Thanks

Your telnet password and enable password are two different things. PDM wants your enable password, not your telnet. Are they the same ? If not, you must use your enable password, OR , you may not have created a username and password. In that case PIX will only accept the enable password with the username blank. To use both username and password you must use:

Router(config)# Username mypix password XXXXXXX.

To establish your enable password alone, you must use:

Router(config)# enable password XXXXXXX

To establish your telnet password you must use:

Router(config)# telnet 10.31.0.100 (your mask) inside
Router(config)# passwd XXXXXXX

Don't forget to save your config, or your config will be lost.

Router(config)# write mem

Hope that helps.

FWHATER...

Great that worked. All I had to do was create the username mypix password xxxxx and that allowed me to get into my pix through PDM.

Thanks Fellas.

Time to work.
