Anybody out there know how to do this?
I think when I first installed Smartsuite, this info was available, and I have the ORG file layout which I downloaded at the time.

I seem to remember there was also some instructions on external calls you could make to open , get records etc. etc., but all this info seems to have disappeared since last I looked for Lotus support at the Lotus support sites.

I'm now trying to write an application which will use the Contacts part of the ORG file as the primary "table" for customers in the system I use to run my business.

(tested only with SmartSuite97)
Organizer97 act as DDE server.
Data in OR3 files can be handle through DDE instructions availables in WordPro’s LotusScript. For Approach,
you must add a DDE client control on form. (see on web Syntax is:
Name server: ORGANIZE200, two topics
1° Topic: System Command: Topics - return database name active with path
2° Topic: database name without path
Commands: [SelectSection(“NameSection”)] [SelectIndex(“NameFieldIndex”)] [Find(“data” or “<FIRST>” or
“<LAST>” or “<NEXT>” or “<PREVIOUS>”)]
Requests: “NameField” - return field content “RESULT” - return result last command
“FORMAT” and “FORMATS” seem to exist ?
Note: NameSections are user defined
Take a look in file “orgmerge.lwp” shipped with WordPro for NameFields
Enjoy
