Hi all

I have moderated conference bridges set up using users extension numbers, users extension are 5100 to 5199

45XXX
Conference Meet Me
5N

I have a DDI setup to go into a VM Mod to check pin etc and then enter bridge 45XXX where they hear moh until user 5XXX (moderator) dials 45XXX where by all users are then added.

My question is how can the moderator open this bridge from an external number?

Flair aka Avaya Communicator, OneX Mobile preferred or FNE based mobile twinning.

Thanks but the customer is not using One-X, I was thinking more along a short code to emulate their extension number?

You don't need One-X to use mobility/mobile twinning, that's the easiest way :)

amriddle01, are you saying if the user has his mobile twinned with his extension and he dials into the conference bridge it will recognise that it is his conf bridge and open it up?

I have tested this and it does not open the bridge.

You need to use the FNE codes to present him system dial tone, he can then dial the shortcode for the bridge and it's the same as him calling from his deskphone :)
