Accessing files after VPN connection

This might be a silly question but I'm new to VPN I have succsessfuly connected to my server but can't access any of the files is there something that I'm missing any sugestions would be very helpful.

I have having the same issues as well with two Windows XP Pro VPN Server and Client setups. There is another thread here at Tek-Tips that has information pertaning to this at the bottm of the thread. The thread # is 818365. If you figure it out, please let me know.

Setup a share on the server vpn machine.

on the client side you may be able to access the file using the "map a network drive" on windows explorer.

When asked for folder name enter \\hostsipaddress\shared name

or from the cmd prompt net use f: \\hostipaddress\share password /user:loginname
