Hi all,

I am trying to access a remote database on a Domino server. I am trying to do this on Linux (no Notes Client). Does anyone know how to do this?

I think I need to use NetLink to establish a connection with the server first then use NSFDbOpen to access the database. But I am having trouble establishing a connection. Please help!!

Thanks in advance!

The only way I know to access Domino without the Notes client is with a browser.
This requires the Domino server to be running the HTTP task, and it requires the db you wish to access to allow you to access it (as well as being web-enabled, or, more specifically, not reb-restricted in its design).

Did you try with a browser ?

try through web browser. Enter he remote end Domino Server IP....If its not in the same LAN then http protocol/packets needs to be allowed to the domino server. And also http task shud be run

cheers

Thanks all for your replies!

I am just wondering if anyone of you can give me a small sample program that I can refer to. I am a newbie to this.

Thanks much!

You need no program. You just need a browser, and a server with the HTTP task active.

Those are parameters and apps you already have. The only other thing you might need is to check the Administrator Help database on the server for controlling the HTTP task.
