IPO 500 v2 Rls 7.0 with Embedded Voicemail.

I need to be able to allow users to access other users voicemail.

I tried setting up Vxxx in the source number so I could use Visual Voice, but no luck. I also setup a short code (*88N#, voicemail collect, ?N) but when I try it I get a recording stating "Remote Access has not been enabled on this mailbox", or something to that effect. I even insured there was a voicemail password setup for the user in Manager. One thing is, there are no names recorded for the users.

Thanks!

the VM passcode code needs to be set in each userthat needs to be accessed remotely (it can be set by the user from their handset)

your short code should be:

sc:*88
Tn:"?Anonymous"
Feature: Voicemail collect

there is no need to add additional entries to source numbers.

Computers are like Air conditioners:-
Both stop working when you open Windows

Modify the default *17 by changing the telephone number to just ? and not ?U.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

I used *981 (throwback to the norstar days ;)
feature voicemail collect
TN "?"

and it worked fine, and of course the mailbox to be accessed must have a password as was mentioned.

Use SIRMcD's SC... the "?Anonymous" TN shown in IP Guru's SC is related to VM pro, not embedded VM.

SIRMcD,

That's exactly what I used and it prompted for a mailbox number. Previously, even with a password assigned, it stated the voicemail could not be accessed remotely.

Thanks for your post!!
