i need to access the cgi error logs but don't know where to find them (or if they exist) for a win2K box.

i had a win2K setup with perl 5.6 and mySql 4.1...had to wipe the system, so reloaded p5.6 & m4.1 but now my site won't read from db among other problems.

any ideas on log location?

figured out where to go for some error logs...

(C:\WINNT\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1)

after some testing found out that there are two errors that come up each time i try to load a .pl page:

04:58:34 68.26.29.241 GET /index2.pl 401
04:58:34 68.26.29.241 GET /index2.pl 200

although i can't access a database, i can execute perl scripts, but the errors still persists.

then i tried a basic html page that had only text ('hello world!') and was able to read that, but still got these errors:

05:04:49 68.26.29.241 GET /index.html 401
05:04:49 68.26.29.241 GET /index.html 200

i can't figure this out. this is the 4th (over 2 yrs) install i've done, the other 3 worked perfect. i've done some research and found out that error 200 is because something is trying to divide by zero (?)...

any ideas?

spewn - this is obviously connected with the error in your other thread (thread219-1060682) - can I suggest we discuss it there?
