Hello all-

Is there a way to access call detail recording log files through Element Manager or direct access to the Linux filesystem on the BCM450? If CDR push/pull is not configured, by default does the system log anything? Customer did not request CDR to be setup when the new system was installed, now they'd like to access some call history information. Is anything logged? Can pull FTP find multiple CDR logfiles or just the current day?

The pull FTP should find all the information stored on the BCM. Did this with a customer the other week and it grabbed 18 months of call data. O_O

I am not sure if it needs to be setup beforehand though.

Thank you for the suggestions...now, more questions...

Is it possible to use SFTP to directly access the CDR pull file directory? My initial attempts were not successful. The SFTP client complains that the BCM is not available after authenticating. Do they use a non-standard TCP/IP port or is there some special handshaking sequence the BCM450 expects?

Has anyone written their own "pull" client to download files from the BCM450? I would think this is fairly common for sites that develop their own call management tools...

With regard to the full backup containing the CDR files, what file format is the BCM backup written to the PC? Is it a giant tarball or zip file? What is the most expedient tool for accessing individual files in the backup saveset file?
