We have a database (with lots of tables and vb codes) that was written for Access 97. It will run on a Windows 98 or Windows 2000 workstation, but not over Citrix running Metaframe 1.8, Windows 2000 with Terminal Server.

Other Access databases run just fine. Access is the only 97 office product loaded, but we do have some Office 2000 products loaded. I tried reinstallation route, even copying, pasting, and relicensing the specific vb dll files for Office 97, with no avail.

It ran just fine using Citrix Winframe 1.7 and NT 4.
Any ideas?

Access 97 and Access 2000 don't co-exist ver well, even when installed in different directories. I have found lots of problems with code not working if I am running 97 and 2000. They're not specific either. Sometimes it is a runtime error, other times it is a query that doesn't get all of the data, very strange. I belive I have seen Microsoft q articles on this disparity.

The only solution I had was to convert to the the highest version (2000 at this point....xp soon enough)Or run the application on a 97 only computer. I am sure it has to do with the registry entries, but can't prove it.
