I have an Access database that I keep a form called switchboard. The switchboard allows a user to perform certain actions, without knowing very much about Access.

I want to be able to allow them to delete a record from the switchboard. I have the query to select the record, can I then delete it with a macro?

Thanks for any help with this.

Bsimm GO TITANS!!

Does the message box come up??

Did you change the parameter criteria in qryDeleteRecord to be [Enter EmpNumber] and change the code line to reflect this?

Don't get frustrated; at this point in debugging it is usually some minor, stupid thing that has been overlooked. That is not a slam on you; it is my experience talking ;-)

Stop the presses!
I had changed my box to have Yes and NO buttons but still had vbOK in the if statement.

Sorry, MY BAD!

It has been so nice working with you. Do you ever go to MSN chat?

See my above post about minor things that cause frustration.

No, I have never been to MSN chat; I really shouldn't be spending all this time online, but work is a bit slow and this keeps me thinking and makes the time pass.

What/where is the chat?

Kathryn

It's working beautifully, I'm going to try to add a Close form in the code.

It's at the msn.com home page I usually go to a regulars, sometimes some good programming questions there. SOmetimes not. I have voted for you about 3 or 4 times. Don't know what the limit is.

You have helped me so much. They don't mind the online time at my work if it's work related.

This is. While we were working on this I've been given another project that I think I can use access. It might even require a messagebox like the other one.

THanks again,

Beth
