Hello!

I have now setup a portforwarding to my internal webserver and i can access it from any computer OUTSIDE my LAN. for example this image:
I know i should use my internal IP to access it from computers INSIDE my LAN

But i use these images on an external webpage:

So know i cant see images on this webpage from computers inside my LAN.

On my old router i could access the webserver both from outside and inside the router via the 87.49.90.83 public address.

is there a trick, to configure the Cisco 872 router to access my webserver 87.49.90.83 from computers inside the network ? (i only use SDM 2,5 to configure, so please not to many complicated codes ;-)

Kindly

Jesper

I found a workaround.

First i setup a domainname to point to my public adress 87.49.90.83

Now i can access the image from
Then i added a line to my host file placed in:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

The line i added was: "192.168.1.190 mydomain.dk"

Now i can access the webserver on mydomain.dk from both outside computers and inside computers, where i added that line to the hostfile.

The trick is, that windows looks in the hostfile before using public DNS to find en IP behind a domain-name. So from inside the domainname goes to internal IP from outside it goes to public IP.

Regards

Jesper
