I have a single table in Access that contains customer information.
Some of the contact contain multiple numbers, for example:

Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Lin Smith 444-444-44444
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Tom Jones 888-8888-8888

I like to add a new field that only shows one instance of the phone number.
Name Unique-NUmber Phonenumber
Joe Smith 555-555-55555 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Lin Smith 444-444-44444 444-444-44444
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Joe Smith 555-555-55555
Tom Jones 888-8888-8888 888-8888-8888

Why not copy the table and delete duplicate entries?

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...

To take bluedragon2's suggestion to the next step when you "recreate" the table make the phone number either an index with no duplicates allowed or the primary key for the table. This way you will eliminate future duplicates within your contacts table.

Thank you gehtleman, I had done this before but my mind was in another place.

Thanks,
